A min pin would be just as fragile as a whippet.

Shetland sheepdogs and papillons - good luck finding the ticks.

What about a Smooth coat collie?

Lagotta (sp?). Thick(ish) coat, but otherwise hardy, agile, trainable, CUTE...

I apologise if has already been suggested, have not read entire thread...

I'm thinking I will just go with a Papillon. Easy to take with me, intelligent, agile, people oriented... not to mention GORGEOUS!

    Hi Brittany

Never thought you'd get all your criteria in one dog. Papillon - very energetic, and lots of hair - but they are small and easy to search I guess. And they are gorgeous.

Yeah, I never really expected to find everything I wanted in a dog. But with Paps, they're small enough so they can self exercise inside if need be, but they shouldn't really be a problem because just grooming at night in front of the tv.

V&F - I would love a Dobe one day!! I wanted to cry the other day when I saw to gorgeous Red Dobe puppies in a pet shop window

Had to post this after the comments on the BB's - YouTube - ‪Gabe Rocks!‬‏
    Especially after 1:20
