All i have to say is peoples religions ( not matter what it is) should not be being ridiculed in any way, shape or form. chrisitianity, islamic, whatever people are is their choice and no one has any right to say anything about it.

As far as I am aware, YES, the rituals of halal is done "tastefully" int his country and so should be left alone to the people who choose to have these sorts of beliefs.

That being said what is going on over seas ( i too havve seen the video, or one of) and it is absolutely gut wrenching to see an animal cry out for help the way this bull was, I signed the petition straight away and I wish my signature counted for a hell of alot more than one vote.

It is outragious that we are sending our beloved animals over there to endure such an inhumane and torturous death after being born and raised so compassionately over here.

Yes in the end their fate is sealed... But a fate as evil as this is just discusting.

[QUOTE=AngelanBatty;125673]It's nothing like that at all!

Dakota Chey, I mean no offence by this question but is English your first language?[QUOTE]

This is not about English. The thread was clear in what was being defended. As per below [third comment in thread] another immediately understood. In that, yourself included.

That's the problem, Anne, the animals aren't being killed using stun or humane killer. Very few of the abattoirs are even equipped with humane killers (aka stun guns/ bolts). I, personally, am in favor of opposing export of live animals who will meet a painful, prolonged death in a manner I am unwillling to accept, given humane alternatives.

As most know, all this has sprung from a four corners report on the cattle slaughtered in some slaughter houses in Indonesia following their being exported live from Australia.

    Transcript of the program.

Unlike you, I am not insinuating that others are out of line for supporting this movement, because they eat meat.
I haven't insinuated anything. I have simply made a relevant comment, and then openly admitted that I also eat animal products. If I was insinuating anything, I was also aiming that insinuation at myself then.

Agree. I don't have much regard for most religions and religious practices, including christianity in all its forms.

Is like saying: All muslims are terrorists which is not the case.
All I can say is "say what?"

Perhaps "What you talkin' 'bout Willis' is also apt at this time.

Sadly the only thing beloved about farm animals for most of the people who farm them is the money they bring.

Plenty of representatives of the cattle industry are saying how ghastly, how dreadful, etc etc. BUT how many of them are calling for a ban?

what i meant is that whilst in this country, despite the fact that their ultimate destination is on the dinner plate, while they are alive they are treated humanely and looked after. And when it is their time ( i do not like talking like this but it is a fact of life) they are euthanised humanely and without torment.
