Default Will It Make Her Crazy (lala in the Head)?

So as some of you may remember, Pippi is an escapist and as a result is confined to inside the house unless she has supervision.

Although a few times a day (first thing in morning, when we get home from work and last thing before bed) she is put outside for 15-20 minutes without any supervision.

Now, when we go to work she is put in their "bedroom". Its a space roughly 1.2metres by say 1.6metres. In it goes her bed, water bowl, a bunch of toys and some newpaper just in case (she never uses this) and her kong with bikkies and peanut butter.

She spends the day in there, and then when my OH gets home, usually around 4 he will let her out. Though sometimes she isnt let out until I get home round 5.30.

She then spends the evening round the house (as well as Barney) and then at bedtime, goes back into that room to sleep for the night (with Barney this time).

Sometimes for a change of scenery she is put in the front entrance which is much larger. From what I can see, she eats her kong but doesnt play with any of her toys, until we get home.

This has been going on for maybe 5 or 6 weeks (????longer) and will continue for the next couple of months after which I will get her a run for outside (it look slike we may be moving to Brisbane so I want to wait until then).

This is a really stupi question but my OH was joking the other day and he said "I reckon its going to make her crazy".

I know lots of dogs spend the work hours in crates, and then also the night in them. But I guess I just want to make sure she wont go crazy LOL

althou its not an ideal situation she should cope, as long as she is getting time with the family and plenty of exercise... I have a similar situation here atm, with one dog being kept in a pen for most of the day.... its only temporary and she gets walks and lots of tlc she will be ok... some dogs live in much worse conditions... and they adapt when their living situation changes... I would leave a radio on thou... if your not already...

Yea not ideal, and not how we want it but hopefully we will be movign to a house without rotten fences LOL.

She still gets heaps of family time and mental stim and exercise.

I dotn leave a radio on actually....I dont even have one.

Id be worried leaving one on would make her think we were home and then she would want out. When we get home, if I put the TV on before I let her out, she immediately scratches.

I have thought about leaving barney in with her but god only knows what might happen then...probably a breakout and then total destruction lol
