You've walked the dog for an hour in some new fun place.

    You've fed the dog.

You've taken her out for a little bit of post dinner exercise, she takes the ball and buries it somewhere - that's new. She does her S&P. She comes back in. You think ok I can have some computer time now, she's supposed to be sleeping. But no. She follows you round barking like you're supposed to be her personal slave for fun and food.

Sorry hound but there is a limit to how many cardboard rolls you can eat in a day without icky consequences. And there is a limit to how much I'm going to play.

So she's finally given up, and is pretending to sleep on her bed behind me as I type...

I love the pretend sleep. It's all eyes shut and persistent ignoring until a packet is rustled somewhere within a 500m vicinity.

Roxie annoyed me today because she's learnt how to spell. I can't say P-a-r-k or w-a-l-k without her knowing what it means. I was being all smart, telling my mum that in a little while I was taking Rox for a w-a-l-k. Rox was in the lounge room, came bolting in at full speed and did the walkies dance. Nothing is sacred!

taking their food bowls outside and deciding they are fun chew toys, then you go in the yard and find pink and blue plastic everywhere, and spend the next hour cleaning it all up while they look at you with big innocent eyes...we have got an endless number of bowls now so we never run out. Lucky we love them.

    Jucelala

Try the word "perambulation" - it takes them a while to learn that one.

I knew a dog that could spell calcium supplement aka bone.

My Dog Has been driving me batty lately!! For some reason off the leash she is a playfull ball of energy that every dog and human loves. On the leash she becomes a killing machine that makes me look like a bad owner!!! GRRr

I read, re read this thread. It makes me smile and laugh.
I printed it off and gave it to my client, (psych job) she reads it when her depression is bad. She says its a ray of sunshine in a otherwise dark day.
