    Default Dog Fight

I was out visiting a family friend in hospital when on the way home, my sister rang. She said she just walked in from a doctors appt and her husband informed her that Roxie attacked Jackson and Jackson had blood on his back.

So I get home and Roxie and Jackson both come to greet me. Next to each other. Tails wagging. Normally if they fight they both sulk for a good hour and refuse to go near each other.

I pulled Jackson into the kitchen and look at his back. Sure enough, there are marks. Except they're pink. I mean bright pink. Dad got the torch and I searched through his fur for the puncture wound. The pink was only at the top of his fur (and he's pure white so it's easy to see any mark on him), and not at the base. Strange.

So we ask dear BIL where they were fighting, have a look there, around the backyard, in the others dogs mouths. Nothing. BIL still maintains Roxie attacked Jackson and drew blood. I'm not convinced it's blood.

Sure enough, I go to pick something off the floor and see a pink sticky substance on the kitchen table. So I swiped some of it on my finger and rubbed it on Jackson. It was exactly the same. BIL's son ate a cupcake, then must have petted the dogs before washing his hands.

Roxie and Jackson are still behaving normal.

Now I have no idea what the hell happened, I know that my sister and BIL are drama queens and can't distinguish icing from blood (and it was BRIGHT pink).

This isn't the first time BIL has either made something up or over dramatized something. Today the 1yo went into my room and pulled out the dog thrower with ball attached (stupid me was going in and out of my room and didn't shut the door.) I said 'oh you little theif!' and got an earful because 'he's one and doesn't know'. Then BIL proceeded to show him how to throw it. Um. Jackson is OBSESSIVE when it comes to balls, BIL knows this. If he was in the room I have no doubt he would have tackled the 1yo.Not out of jealousy, just 'I want, I want'. This is why 1yo and dog are not allowed to play with balls, or any toy together, or be alone together.

I just needed to rant about living with stupid people!!! I understand that he doesn't like me, but lying about my dog, or trying to cause trouble regarding the dogs isn't nice. Sometimes I think it would be lovely if there were a pound for people!

The cupcake story sounds more likely! I hope they didn't fight, although isn't Jackson a staffy? Roxie must have some guts!

Carl and Mischa had a minor scuffle (over food? Maybe a toy??) a few months ago; for what reason, I have no idea. I ducked back in the room and they both looked so 'guilty' at being busted I had to forgive them.

Yeah Rox has some guts, Jackson is a staffy. He is the sookiest dog ever though, absolutely no alpha in him at all. He rolls over for anything.

That's cute about Carl and Mischa. At least they know it's not allowed!

Hahaha - Does icing pass as fake blood these days?

There should be a pound for dumb people - Except it would always be full :P

Some people get confused with dogs playing and dogs fighting. But come on pink blood?! :P
