Default Million Paws Walk 2011 Anyone Going?

I have wanted to do the MPW for years but I always seem to miss it.
Not this year My Lovely Gypsy, My son and I are heading to our local one this saturday.
Looking forward to it already paid my entrance ($10! little bit ouch but for a good cause)

I was wondering is anyone else is going or had any tips for a first timer.

    Already taking:

Lead and walking harness (duh )
    Hat and sunscreen
    Sensible shoes
Up to date with all vaccinations
    ‘Poo’ bags
    Bottles of Water
    Water Bowl for Gyspy
    $ for food and extras
    Pocketfull of Dog treats
I am also taking jackets and Gyspy's new winter coat incase it rains

Does anyone know if I have to take her vacc card? I didn't have to provide her details on online sign up.

Also has anyone ever dressed up their dog?

I'm volunteering for the one near me. Batty's coming along too but he won't be staying for the whole thing.

Have a copy of your vacc card with you, but don't take the actual card - you'd be amazed at how many get lost every year.

Oh, make sure you always have a great grip of the leash. Every year some dogs get loose, and it turns into (while funny) a mob of people chasing a pack of dogs.

I have gotten a group together from the other forum and we are going as a team, I think in total there is 6 or 7 of us. We are going in team uniforms (red) and the dogs will have red bandanners! Excited!

It is also my first time. Thanks for the list of things to take haha I hadn't really thought that far!

We are part of the Obedience Demo team, we will be doing two demo's with our kennel Club.....Tessa does one Demo and Annabelle another. Annabelle also hauls her cart around to pick up all the equipment after and at set-up.
Annabelle and Tessa also do a agility and jumping Demo. My dogs love these days......
Katy and Lukey will be the ones loving all the cuddles from the kids. Katy has so much fun being loved and petted. Busy day......
Last year we had a dog fight outside our roped off ring, when the dogs were in sit/stay. They were all so cool and just looked. One of these proud moments
