    Angry Stunned!

Just on another site this morning when came across an ad for someone wanting to "swap their 6 mth old Pom for a 5 mth old Husky! WTF! I`m sorry for my statement, but dogs are not a throwaway comodity. I was absolutely horrified! This person obviously has no idea of the work involved in the ownership of a husky, and they are a huge commitment. If they can`t deal with a smaller dog, how do they expect to deal with an animal that has a greater level of work involved in keeping them healthy and happy.
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest! Heading out now to take my Husky out for his first 1 hour walk for the day.

Thats pretty poor, i cant see how someone can openly ask to trade a dog as if it some sort of material goods.

Poor dogs. You're right - people have no idea, may be part of the reason that there are always so many Huskies in pounds etc...

You'd think it would be common sense that you don't treat animals like this but common sense actually isn't all that common I'm afraid.

I've never seen that before, but thats disgusting. Really, really awful. I had a Husky x Malamute for a short while (she passed away when she was 2). But how someone can just want to swap their dog for another one, is beyond me.

My sentiments exactly guys. I have now calmed down! I, too could not understand that this person would expect someone to "swap" a pom for a Husky, big dog for small dog, but obviously this person has no common sense. It really just shows that there are owners of dogs that should not own them at all. And ,yes you are right, people like these are the reason why there are so many Huskies in pounds through no fault of their own for the dog,it`s inexperienced owners that just don`t keep them safe and have the understanding of this truly independant breed.
