Luckily, in all my years of having dogs with eyes prone to injury I have only had one of my own injured in such a way.

I have had many rescues though with eye injuries when they come in, or with only one eye becuase of previous injuries.

Does 'retrobulbar abscess' ring a bell? Maybe?
If so, then yes, an infection of the eye can cause issues in the retrobulbar space(behind the eye). Its very uncommon, so I hope your poor Miley is not in too much pain anymore!

    That's what it was Myf!!!
She is 100% better now, but the first day was awful. I thought she was going to lose her eye for sure.
