OK, whatever floats your boat. If someone on the internet giving you an opinion makes you freak out then maybe the internet just isn't for you.

Can't stop yourself, can you? Arrogant and pompous.

There was no "opinion" you were laying down a rule.

Obviously I am having trouble as well, but you started this nonsense.

It did not freak me out. I was trying to be polite. Right from the get-go you have not been. It made me angry: what you said, and how you said it, and your attitude throughout the whole show.

This is the internet. Just because you don't get along with a few members, doesn't mean that the majority wouldn't enjoy your posts (and photos).

I'm not sure that Crested Love is arrogant or pompus. Blunt and imperative maybe. I know a lot of people like that and I get along fine, some people are just not that great at being polite - which often comes across as flowery and insincere to me. Ie people say one thing and mean something else. At least Crested Love is direct. I much prefer. And yes maybe she could phrase things a little less commandingly but that's just semantics. She's not a moderator so you can feel free to ignore the imperatives.

In fact if her posts really drive you nuts, there is an ignore function.
click on the user name at the top of her post, click on "view public profile" then click on "user lists" (under the user name) and select "ignore". Then you only see what she posts if somebody quotes it, but you make a pact with yourself to ignore it.

I quite like CL's posts as they are, but there are some who so fragantly flout the law and then post about it here or want to contribute dogs to the pound, that I ignore them.

Thanks for the well-chosen words. I have used the ignore process to stop myself sniping. I will look around for some shots to post. I take lots but many are not great if I try to get dogs in action. Timing is very important......to critical. Some just look weird, the poses they get into.

    Thankyou Hyacinth.
I am direct, I call it like it is. If some people can't handle that then as you said there is the ignore function.

I said SEVERAL times I would love to see photos of their dogs, but they chose to ignore that and focus on the fact I said it was not allowed.
I have since been told that is IS allowed ( I truly did believe otherwise), but remained firm in my belief that it is of poor etiquette and rude to do so.

Noone is stopping them from posting photos, I was just giving my opinion that should only post photos of their own dog (excluding original post).

OK. Unluckily I came back without logging in. I saw yet ANOTHER "thank you Hyacinth ...." reply from by Bette noir. Again polite and passive aggressive.

    I tried.

This was my thread. This is not about ownership but hijacking. I came here seeking info and was asked to post shots. All good.....until it was over-rulled.

I will give thought to posting some shots on a new thread, just to be nice. If CL provides any negative input I would consider it harassment.

I will post shots of other people's dogs.

I have always been conscious that people may not be happy about shots of their dogs (hey it steals the soul, or whatever) and I would ALWAYS be willing to give shot copies to dog owners.

Funny thing is, I would be PROUD to have a nice shot of a dog, that had made me a life companion, posted anywhere. I have posted boasting shots myself. If somebody ELSE thought it was worth it.....??? I don't OWN this dog and its existence. It is a life unto itself. I am proud of my choice and nurturing. I am happy that my dog is worth photoing. All of that.. Precious about those images? NAH. Something wrong there....

Harrasment? Oh honey I really was serious when I said if you can't handle the internet get off it.
Oh I would be proud to have a nice shot of my dog too, but it would be MY choice where it gets posted, not yours.
