    Default Please Welcome Lucas

Now we have a new boy......Lucas/Lukey. He was one of our Breeders Dogs, who went to Kempsey. Owner left him with De facto and did not return from the UK. She was going to take him the the pound. Pound suggested return to breeder. Breeder paid for her to bring the dog back and gave her some money for him, just because. He was quite beautiful, so our Breeder gave him to someone who shows. She did some showing with him 50% of his Championship in fact. But I am not sure what happened. He is very timid and worried and even scared to walk into the house. Once in he is fine. it is as if he has been told off all the time, for just doing anything. He sniffs at something and you look at him and he cowers, poor boy. Not sure who the cause is. Our Breeder took him back again, he is quite happy with her and the Kennel maid. He now loves Mike and happy with me. Our dogs are good with him. We are going to try and finish his Championship, because he is quite handsome. We need to make him happy and smiley again. he had no timidity as a pup. So that is a plus
So he is ours now to keep. Our breeder has written a contract where we can keep him, forever and use him as a Breeder (as long as checked with her I doubt we will LOL) and she might use him a couple of times. If he gets confident again ( no character fault, but environment fault).
She offered us another Show dog.....A very showy show boy. But he does not need us. So we took Lukey. Lukey slept next to Mike's side of the bed next to Annabelle. I think he will settle in. We will use some Agility and fun, to get him happy again :-)

    Luke hates the camera

I know it is blurry, but it is kinda cute........

Such sad eyes, hope he gets happy again, pity dogs can't talk so you could know what has gone on, since they do live very much day by day I am sure he will soon get over his timidity.

I am open to anything....in my eyes, something either works or doesn't.

He is sound asleep next to the couch at present. He has finally decided he is allowed inside and no one is going to tell him off.

He's gorgeous I can't believe they were going to dump him at the pound.
    How old is he ?
I'm sure sure with a little TLC he'll regain his confidence.
The other dogs will be a good influence too so I'm sure he'll do fine.

Lucas was born 25.06.2007, so many people do not contact the Breeders first or even breed rescue's. I have never understood that.

I think they are embaressed that they are giving the dog up not that it's any excuse at all.
