Probably correct...this dog was in a contract, as are all her newfies. So the microchip hopefully always gets back to the breeder.

I still cannot understand why you would pay $2500 for a dog and abandon him. Or be so into showing that you take him back when he is not working out.
Anyway we feel we are the lucky ones in all of this. So far a healthy newf, with awesome hip and elbow scoring (almost perfect) all done and paid for
AND.......He is not a huge newfie. he is a nice tidy just at the lower end of the size scale, just what I like. Nice to see a lovely fit looking boy

What a lucky boy he is to have found his perfect home!

If you don't mind me asking, who are his parents?

I saw your post on DOL about this beautiful new boy and was so sad not to be able to post how thrilled I am (I'm banned - LOL LOL ), and you are here !!

That Lucas is a total knockout and although I simply could not cope with the drool, I appreciate these dogs' wonderful personalities and beauty.

    One lucky lucky Lucas.

Lukey does not drool much, even when he is stressed as he was the day before yesterday. Neither does Annabelle, she is very dry. But my Darling Katy Bear does

    Lukey's Parents are

Sire,Aust Champ Darbydale is now shaking up Aus (a USA import)
    Dam Planhaven Gypsy Sue

He has really good hip and elbow scoring, just seems a little timid and i am hoping that it is just due to what has happened to him and not temperament

I hope to show him again when he is a little bit happier and more confident. he is not huge. i would say about 55 kg to 60 kg, Just a bit taller then my newf Annabelle and a little smaller then Katy, who is huge.

Will there be another newfie specialty at Kcc again this year?

I checked out your intro and i think I recognize some newfies there

    He sounds lovely.
Good luck although I have a feeling he'll be a much apprecated part of your pack in no time.
Newfies where not always such wet mouthed breed you know it's mainly been over last 15 to 20yrs that they have become such droolers so you can still get dry mouthed Newfies they just aren't as comman as they once where.

Most of the newfs I have had have been pretty good. Katy only gets bad around food.
And when she is hot. So positive training at obedience in Summer is a slobberfest

Now here is a picture of the perfect dry mouth newf

    That is soooooooo cute.
Yeh I don't think people realize how many are dry mouthed.
TM's are a dry mouth breed but my Bear is a slobberer although neither his sire or dam slobber at all.
