Default Why You Love Your Chosen Breed.

Not specific dogs, but the breed as a whole.
I always wonder why Natty loves her Sighthounds, why Choppa loves her Pits, and why Crested loves her Poodles.

Roly(JRT X Maltese) TBH, the JRT is not my breed of choice....at all. Roly is the only exception

Lady(Kelpie X Border Collie) I love Kelpies because they have heaps of energy, are incredibly loyal and always wanting to please, loving and intelligent, and the...non fat one...are gorgeous

I love DDB's because of their size, they not overly active, I wouldn't call them clingy but they are very loyal (not too fond of strangers) very stable, once they learn something they never forget it.

    And they're just so squishy

I love my Pits because I dont believe there is another breed out there that could love back as much. That have the courage to continue on even when put through hell that would of killed a lesser dog by some scumbag but will wag their tail at the very human that did it.Their undying love and loyalty to their family. The fact they seem to understand each and every word said to them. Their ability to be a couch potatoe one minute and a gold medal zoomer the next.
I love them for their sheer heart.

My family dogs have been so called working dog breeds mostly (funny though as all of us are city dwellers).

Mini schnauzer: I wanted to have something small but still like a dog (LOL) which is alert, trainable, playful, and athletic yet clean. I talked many people and decided on mini schnauzer amongst beagles, JRT, Parsons RT. My minis ticks all those boxes. One of the things I like about him is that he is loyal to family yet have even temper (I never seen him bare his teeth to people) Do I want to have minis again-yes I do…Would I have one? Probably not.. why? I love all dogs and love to have different dogs
S/tzu (x) My boy is very emotionally available for me. After tiring day, he is on my lap looking at me…that keeps me going…he is mama’s boy…this was why I could not return him even after many incidents within first two weeks. After all he is a magnet…a people magnet

I love bull type dogs but am concerned if I can be a good dog owner for them. What quality should people have as pit bull terrier's owners?

The newfoundland stands for courage and devotion world-wide. they are loyal and friendly, but not the sort of friendly that goes looking for other people, just happy to be social.
They are easy to train and intelligent. Also think for themselves and quite resourceful. e.g. will go fishing and eat the fish and pick fruit/veg and eat. For all its bulk the newfie is playful gentle and docile and they get on well with other animal, horses, chicken, rabbits etc
And most of all they have an innate love for kids and it is one of the few dogs used as a traditional playmate for children. No kids allowed near water when a newf is around. I have so many stories of both my own and my friends newf doing their best to keep kids/people safe. They have incredible strength and can be used for drafting and also superior swimming skills, these skills make it an excellent rescue dog and often act on their own initiative. Like our Katy, she has real rescue drive
Newfies loyalty is unwavering and they become deeply attached to their owners, but can happily spend some time around home/yard alone.

no one should start me on newfies

I sure as hell didn't choose any of ours. Parents chose the first three dogs' breeds, I was chosen by Carl...

    Miniature Pinschers:
    - bold, brazen, fearless
    - very very VERY intelligent!
    - little problem solvers, go getters, ambitious
    - playful, funny, entertaining, animated
    - affectionate (only with 'their' person )
    - great all rounders, capable of doing flyball or agility, love rough and tumbling with the bigger dogs
    - they are a real challenge to own and train, being so willful and out there!
    - resourceful little buggers, they invent their own games to entertain themselves!

The Bichons are in it for themselves, I don't like the breed at all. Just kidding! They are super lovable people dogs, and they have almost no vices (just prone to being garbage guts)!.

The staffy/norfolk on the other hand...I love everything about both breeds! Especially the kisses.

like a rolling thunder chasing the wind...
