Thats so cool, I've always been interested in water training.
Maybe Jewels could do it when she grows up but Bear is a scardy cat, Pearl dosn't swim & Bubba was never a very teachable type dog, lol & his getting on now.
Milly my poodle would love it but not sure what a 4kg wringing wet poodle would be capable of saving, lol..............
Your dogs faces have a look of bliss.

I do water training with two of mine, but not in the way you do!! I incorporate swimming as part of their exercise routines because it's good for them Carl would probably watch me drown rather than save me--he'd be thinking "well now I know where she hides the chicken, who needs her?!"

I have seen a few people doing it at the lake we go to. One guys dogs are amazing, they even know left and right! He does it for hunting though, so they can fetch the ducks.

I have no practical use for the training but do it with Rox anyway. She loves the water, so any time I can get in with her I do. I never taught her to 'rescue' she just instinctively knew it but we muck about and she gets on the boogie board and such.

So I do it but not seriously lol. Great pics too!

Mine do left and right and will pick left or right if two items in the water or dry land. I am presently getting some help from a person who trains a Gordon Setter.

    Hi,

I am envious of you as my minis does not like water at all but your post reminded me the rust in the car my friend owned (long time ago). She had a newfoundland called Sam who loved swimming so much...
I love cooking but I love eating even more.

Newfsie, your dogs are just so gorgeous, they make me all smooshy.

We used to go to the river to swim (in NZ, I dont know if I can bring myself to do it here coz I assume there might be crocs LOL) and if we went under water Barney (who was not all that keen on swimming back then) would race into the water and grab ya. We were mean and used to do it all the time coz we thought he was cute trying to "rescue" us.
