I know we don't always agree Molly & you see things in a little more black & white terms of right or wrong whereas I can see the grey area in the middle(sometimes to much) & can have trouble deciding what I really think is right. But 1 thing you have to know I love dogs & only bring subjects like this up to get poeple talking & thinking about it as I beleive nothing good comes of sticking our heads in the sand. Plus ther more attention brought on a subject like this the more chance of something actully getting done thas worthwhile.

Yes. Thanks Pug. I watched 17 minutes of it and am now going to cuddle my dogs.
In Wagga my son's friend had his beloved Pit Bull stolen. The dog was later found by police with other dead dogs in an isolated area. Dog fighting ring. Don't know if anyone was ever caught. My son said his mate broke through the police tape and was distraught, holding his dead dog. I know this mate of his, a so called deadbeat, minor crim and I like him so very much. I have been to his house and have seen how he loves his dogs. I honestly believe he would try to kill the person that did this if he knew who it was.

Any posts made under the name of Di_dee1 one can be used by anyone as I do not give a rats.

    NO, NEVER!!!
He wants to own a Dog?
The dogs that were still alive have suffered way more than Micheal Vick EVER will, let alone the countless dogs he tortured to DEATH.
How can he refer to his actions as a mistake? Putting 2 dogs together to kill the other is NO mistake!!

He is NO ROLE MODEL and never deserves the privilege of owning another animal.
What kind of person can hold a dogs head underwater until it drowns? What kind of person holds live electrical wires to the dogs body while it is electrocuted to death? Who knows what else these dogs suffered.

He lost everything, of course he regrets it now. Just a shame the dogs he killed will never get a second chance..

The only good that came from this was bringing Dog-fighting up from the underground and made more people aware of what was happening.

All I know of Michael Vick, is that he plays sport in the USA, was involved with dog fighting, and the infamous fact he held a dog(s) under the water till they died.
Thats enough for me. Why would anyone allow a person that has 'casually' killed dogs, to own another one?
    It seems insane!

    Terrible story.
Some country towns do have a dog fighting problem, nothing like America but it dose happen.
My very good friend had a bull arab that someone mistoke for a pitty & stole it to fight. The arab was a clown & loved to run but didn't have a mean bone in her body. She was only 10mths old poor pup & she was found disimboweled. She would not have had a clue what was going on, she was breed by a wanker safed by my mate & then this.

Yep Myf that was my first reaction too.
I would now say no dog yet & maybe never but let me do his talks.
I know what he did makes him a terrible role model but if he did truely change & can pass that on that can be powerful to poeple that feel these no use changing as what their've got no hope. I am not so sure he can truely be rehabilated though but anything is posible.
