I don't know yet. Will depend on where I am living. I will definitely have another beagle, but I would also like something with more drive (but will definitely not be a BC or similar).

Well all my dogs so far have been unplanned, pretty much falling into my lap...

If/when I move out (presumably after Mischa has passed on, she is 8 now--though I would probably leave her with my parents if she is still around) I will be getting a show quality American Staffordshire. I would love to rescue one from the pound, but with everything under the sun being called a pit these days, it's not a wise idea. Especially if NSW gets more strict about breed banning.

I will always foster and own rescue dogs. I would happily have 4 or 5 dogs at a time, so assuming it was Carl and an Amstaffy, the next three would be rescues.

Newfs4ever ............... If I really had to shrink down I would get an English cocker. I love water dogs and preferably black. Soft mouths and friendly is important too

We will always take on another newfie rescue.

We will always have kelpies due to OH's work.

OH wants to get GS or rotti for a next dog, but we will wait until Boss passes away, so another 13 years

Herding dogs for me forever. Koolies, kelpies BCs and ACDS, my next one will most likely be an ACD.

Have you ever had anything to do with Smithfeild hearding dogs also known as Tasmanian Smithfields?
They come in a varity of colours & have a longish thick double coat with some having a wirery type hair, have a mildly brick shaped head, come both naturaly bobtailed, 1/2 tails & full lengh tails & are of a little larger size than your average bc. From what I can learn they origanated from bobtailed rough coated cattle dogs & a type of working Bearded Collie that came over on the colonal ships with the sheep & other livestock.

Hmmm not sure, it would be a long way off as husband has said "no!" to two dogs. Probably a greyhound, maybe a standard poodle.
