    Default Hello from Melbourne

    Hello everyone, Season's greetings!
I am new to this site-just discovered it while browsing the internet. Aren't holidays wonderful, they give you all the extra leisure time!
I thought I would come on and introduce myself and some of our pets.
We live in a Melbourne suburb and have 3 older children all still living at home, plus 2 dogs, a cat and a bird.
The dogs and the cat all came from various animal shelters, so I daresay they are mixed breeds, but still lovely animals for all that.

I wonder if anyone here will be able to help me by giving me a clue as to what breed our latest little fellow could be. We picked him up at the Keysborough shelter as a pup over a year ago now and were told he was a 'Tibetan spaniel cross'. probably mainly cross!
The photos of Tibetan spaniels on the internet don't look like him that much, but I am no expert.
Here is Ringo from last Christmas-if he reminds you of any breed of dog, I would be interested to know. My own guess is he has a bit of a few different breeds.

And here he is again, with our older dog, Star. She's about 6 now and came from the RSPCA. She was listed as a pomeranian cross but our previous dog was a pom and much smaller. Star has a lovely friendly nature and the softest fur you can imagine.
I got the shock of my life when we first got her because she can JUMP, which is certainly not something our little pom could ever do!
So here they are-Ringo and Star.

    Another hi and welcome

I dont really have much idea either , though Ringo looks like he may have some Long Haired Chi in him somewhere and Star ( gorgeous, gorgeous girl! ) looks to have some type of Spitz to her.

    Either way,both are adorable

    Thanks everyone for your replies.
Choppa chop and Mitte, my daughter has sometimes wondered if Star had a bit of spitz in her. Mitte, your link in your signature shows a spitz with a tail up, looks the same stance as Star as her tail does that. It sometimes looks like a giant bushy umbrella over her back.
In the long run, both our pooches are bitzers and you are all correct, we will probably never know exactly what is in them.
I can't imagine life without them though.
