Default Pet Insurance - What Do You Do?

Just thinking about ways to ensure that we will have the money if Lacey has to go to the vet. What do you do? Do you have an insurance plan, or do you put money away each week?

You have said in another forum that your parents will not allow you to do pet insurance so in your case putting aside some money each week is the way to go.
I don't have it but am in the lucky position of being able to pay for it should it be needed.
Many are not so lucky so they find other ways to save for it or get insurance.

I am lucky to have a great vet who bills which gives you a month to pay & he is fine with 3mths for the bigger bills.

My three dogs are insured with medibank Private for $52.00 per month. I pay the first $400.00 once a year and they are covered for $18,000.00 each per year.
So it does not cover vaccinations and heartworm treatment

My friend has claimed under the same cover for a hip replacement, $12,000 no issues

That's not bad, I thought would be more with the Newfies as any I checked out I need $100 a month for 4 Tibetan Mastiffs. I will look into that 1.
    Thanks
