Question So Tell Me What Everyone Here Do Socaily with Their Dogs?????

For exsample some poeple like to show, some do agility, fly ball or just like taking your pooch to the beach, cafe or dog park.
I train livestock guardains[not all make it to a guardain], general obedaince, the odd sheep dog & my Tibetan Mastiffs are local celebs as they go to cafes, clerence sales & are walked down main street often. I tried dog showing but TM's[tibetan mastiffs] do not often enjoy showing & I found I was not very keen on it anyway. I have been living between the farm & house in small country town for last 6yrs & we have no obedaince clubs[unless you drive over an hr each way] so I have been thinking of starting a dog club. What activities would intrest you at a dog club? But in general just let me know how you enjoy your pooches & what you do to entertain & train them??????????????

I love playing around with my dogs near the small creek by my house, love going to the beach / river though my husky is not so keen on swimming . I love agility with my husky at my obedience club, we occasionally have a fun competition as well prizes for the fastest, most enthusiastic and the one who makes us all laugh the hardest! its awesome fun

I also love going hiking / bushwalking with my girl (my mums girl is a little lazy haha) and camping ... lots of outdoor stuff! And of course just letting her off to run her little heart out when I can. I'm always trying to think of new things to do with her, maybe the rest of you can give me some ideas

I don't go out of my way to socialise my dogs.
They arn't particularly social anyway. Neither of them play, all they do is smell each other behinds and then follow each other around.

Rox and I go to obedience school, but she has friends whom we visit and play with. Our neighbour walks his dogs every day and we see them too.
Rox comes to cafes etc with me if she can. We also shelter dogs for the rspca and do a lot of dog sitting so she's always got someone new to play with.

We love being Social with our dogs...We go to the River, Parks, obedience any markets that allow dogs.
We love going to any dog events, "Paws in the Park", "million Paws" and all our obedience event. I like trialling my dogs in/at obedience. I have had a bit of a go at showing, but i am not serious enough. We love agility practice, but will never make great Agility dogs. We like walking the streets in the small villages. I have worked hard at making our dogs friendly and polite. because Annabelle was very people and dog aggressive, but now she is the real Social Butterfly of the Kennel Club.

We walk our girl, take her on play dates (my boyfriend's dad has 2 labs and we have other friends with dogs that she likes to play with), take her to dog friendly events, dog parks every month, etc. She loves meeting new people and dogs. She tries to play with bugs in the backyard but that never works out too well for them :P

Tilly and I go to obeidence training every Sunday. She loves to have a play at the end of class though is very bossy and loud (the herding instinct). We go bush walking with my camera she'll drop on comand so not to diturb my shot. Tilly loves when we go down river (when its not flooded) and I throw a stick or in her case a log in the river she just can't get enough. But best of all we love tracking...........

Out of curiosity, how do you train livestock guardian? What do you do? And what breed do you have?

We occasionally go to group walks, but no agility any longer because of injury. We go to shows to watch and for get togethers
Respect and you shall be respected. Animal is always right.
