Default HELP! Pit Bull Rescue Organisations in Aus???

    Hi All,

I am designing some shirts re: Save the Pit Bulls. Originally I was just making one for me but then I realised I could sell them online, so thats what I will be doing and I want to donate all profits to an Australian Pit Bull rescue organization or similar or an organization who is fighting BSL/Pit Bull restrictions but the only one in Aus I can seem to find is Staffy Rescue. Does anyone have any suggestions??

    Thanks All.

Once I have the T-Shirts deisgned I will post a link on here!

So here is some Pictures of the design I was going with. Thats front and back. I will do them in a Mens also. Nothing will go to me all profits will go to either Staffy Rescue or another organisation waiting on suggestions. What do you think? They will be $55 dollars. $50 is the fee from the company who will print and send them out etc the other $5 goes to the organisation when decided. Thanks.

Given that Pitbulls are not allowed to be sold or given away in most states of Australia because they are a "restricted" breed, there probably isn't any rescue organisation. ACT might be an exception.

Members tybrax or Beau might know more.

There was an organisation specifically dedicated to getting the restricted breed legislation overturned but I don't know what happened to them.

It is still illegal to give away or sell one in QLD, BUT under the latest amendment to the law, any vet can identify a dog as Staffy, Am Staff or whatever,That is now law, thus there are no more Pits in QLD,

Rescue groups in the ACT and NT rehome pits so may be interested as well.

Also the RSPCA in ACT (yes, you heard me right - RSPCA...) are pro-pit bull and anti BSL. They regularly adopt them out but usually stick to their own merchandise.

    Nice T-shirt btw.
The tannish PB on the back is gorgeous!
Did you happen to watch Animal Squad at 7:30 on channel 7 tonight? They had lots of Pitties, and they were soo beautiful!

Pssssst, you can get shirts made a lot cheaper than that
I'm not sure where you got a quote from but $50 is way overpriced.

The cheaper you get the shirt made for the more you can donate

Pistol clothing does printed shirts for $35 but there are heaps more out there, just Google.
