Thread: Beaucerons in Australia?

  1. #1

    Question Beaucerons in Australia?

    I was wondering whether anyone had heard of any Beauceron breeders in Australia?

    They are a old French herding breed and are quite rare outside of France but are becoming more popular in Europe and the U.S.

    Any information regarding breeders would be much appreciated.

    Also, if there are no breeders as of yet in Australia how easy/ hard would it be to import one?

    There are no breeders in Australia, but I know someone over in the US who owns a couple of Beaus. I've just messaged her asking for a link to the breeder she got hers from.
    I'll get back to you

    Thanks
    Could you ask her what her experience has been with the breed?

    Does anyone know the rules for importing dogs into NSW?

    Much appreciated

    Default Beaucerons - a truly beautiful breed

    I know this post was ages ago...but I'm passionate about this breed. We bought our Beauceron over from France. Extremely intelligent, fiercely loyal, incredibly gentle, energetic and with the most beautiful spirit. But this is not a dog for a novice or new dog owner. We've considered looking at breeding them over here, so would be very interested in knowing if anyone else even has another one in Australia!

    I've heard the name, but I can't think of what they look like. Do you have a pic ulla?

    How hard was it to get your dog over here??

    An optimist sees the glass as half full;
    A realist just finishes the damn thing and refills it.
