It is wise to be cautious if she hasnt had all her needles. I used to carry my pup into busy areas so she got used to all sorts of different people and sounds. I also took her to my dog club and held her so she could see the action. I didnt put her on the ground at any stage. She had the last of her 2 needles at 11 weeks old. With the new vaccines you should only need 2 about 4 weeks apart.

The important socialisation window is upto 16 weeks old. This is when you can really get pups used to all sorts of different things, but you also need to avoid any bad experiences with people and other dogs.

Puppy school will be good for both of you and you can ask lots of questions regarding her care.

Remember she needs 2 needles to be protected. One at 8 weeks and most puppies are not protected by that one. The next one will be given 4 weeks later and then you need to wait a short period.

When you take her to puppy school make sure it is safe from where sick dogs may have been. Local dog clubs run puppy socialisation classes but only for pups that are fully immunised.

You need to find a school where pups that are not fully immunised can be safe.

In Perth recently they have had major outbreaks of parvo because people are failing to immunise their dogs.

When you get her vaccinated be sure to talk to the vet about when you can take her out.

You definitely need to get her sterilised. 6 -7 old months is a good time to do this. It will probably cost around $250. Much cheaper than if she were to get pregnant and much less hassle.
