I agree! What on earth is wrong with Staffy or Staffy x ? I can assure you that in adoring a dog and providing the best possible home, combined with the ins and outs of saving lives 'terms' are irelevant.

I mean really, education in regard to responsible dog ownership is basicly non existent, i see the worst of worst too often...yet there is all this energy spent on the politicaly correct terms for breeds!

I have a purebred here...do i quible on her breed status with others? No! I have an adopted TT as well, do i ever lecture people re calling him a foxy? No! and i love my dogs to bits!

Honestly what is going on in this world

Oh that sucks - I just had a huge post typed out and it went poof on me

OK , here we go again

Because education to me is about correct education.
    Stafford is correct.

put it this way ; if someone said to me " Oh I breed Staffies , especialy if they say English Staffies , then I immediately think BYB/Puppy Farmer/Wanna be who will just do more damage to a breeds reputation.

It is not about saving them or good homes and great care.
    I agree fully with that

    Hi Choppa Chop,

From a rescue perspective Stafford/Staffy/Staffy x means the same thing.

    It is not rocket science.

Walking the dogs OUT of the door rather than watching them removed in body bags for the council tip is the aim of the game

    Who cares realisticly?

Breeding! well thats another story as Staffy's are the most over represented breed in my local pound.

Perhaps all the registered breeders of Staffords can embark on an education campaign to educate the public?

Anyway, i am sick and tired of good dogs dying, so terminologly means squat for me. I apologise now if my post is over the top.

I am over the talk! it has been going on for ever and ever, yet no REAL difference is ever made for Staffords or any breed for that matter.

lol This i find interesting...So you consider a SBT is a staffie but that an AST isnt?
The term " staffie" stems from the word " staffordshire" in the breeds name and that very same word appears in the American Staffordshires name also so im interested to know why you think one is a staffie and one isnt

and they both have big grins

I agree it has not been too much sweetneass and light around here lately but you will get that with any forum.
We all wont agree with everyone all of the time.
Why would we want to? I thinkit whats makes teh world go round.

The difference to me is being able to 'discuss' things we dont agree with and outright blatant trolling.

Two instances which have been seen here in the past week and a half.
I did not get to read Occy's but I will say this , it must not of been too damn pleasant for it to be gone. Occy may be many things to many different people but she has hide thicker than most rhino'

I 'atteempt' to be more forgiving , however wont be anymore as I dont want this forum to go the way of many others.

    But we all CAN disagree.
    That really is human nature.
It's when it gets personal and dowrnight vindictive that it is beyond it.

I was refering to the post that was deleted to Occy , I am sorry for the confusion and should of pointed it out in my first thread. Truley

Now...I got some serious 'bringing' to do

meh....Staffordshire,American Stafford , Bull Terrier.....APBT Same eggs different baskets
    HI AGAIN !
My problem is not with difference of opinion! Not at all ! It's interesting to see diff. views...It's the personal attacks that are just plain STUPID! and i've had a gut-full!

    HI DOGLUVER !

It is probably best if you do close it.... Difference of opinion is all good, But others...that have not got one or have nothing nice / informative to say....they shouldn't say anything ! I personally would like to see this thread closed! But it's up to you guys ! I've had it ! and seriously thinking of leaving anyway.
