This would be lovely if only it were true, it is not, breeders show and breed faulty dogs of many breeds frequently.

No judge can see a faulty heart.

Some will not even throw out a dog with some bad conformation, just penalise them, they can still earn their championship if the owner is prepared to go to enough shows, and many do just that and get their 'petrol' championship.

I didn't know that show judges looked at anything other than physical conformation. How is it that they know a dog has a heart defect in the show ring?

Fact is they don't, and I am sure if a dog meets expectations on the outside it can go far in the show world regardless of how messy it is on the inside.

Not an expert though so am just assuming.

    Hi,

I just want to say that she is GORGEOUS!!! Like you said, it doesn't matter if she is 'Pure' or not, as long as she is a healthy, happy and friendly dog! I have a Rotti also called Diesel. He's a beautiful boy!!!

Having her a little bit lean is not nessesarily a bad thing!! Espesially with a large breed dog like a Rotti! Large breed dogs are prone to joint problems and having extra weigh on them causes my strain on their joints. It's important that you keep them a healthy weight not overweight so the look more stocky!!
