    Default Panda Dogs

A while ago I saw the coolest looking dog, it was called a Panda Dog. Upoon researching this dog, it seems that you take a stock standard Chow Chow and carefully place black hair dye on the dog in places so it looks like a Panda Bear.

I was wondering if any one has done this before as I am going to need some advice:

    1. What is the best black hair dye to use, so you do not harm the dog?
    2. How often do you have to dye the dogs hair?

hello you need special dog hair dye, not human hair dye, and their is an art to it, takes lots of practice, if you have never done it before I suggest you get a professional to do it, some groomers offer hair dying.

Sorry, but why would you do such a stupid thing to your dog. If you like multi colour then dye your own hair.

    Hi,

Is this for a special occasion or sort of semi permanent?
I love cooking but I love eating even more.

I want to do it permanently.

My friend has a Golden Retriver and he is going to do his so it looks like a tiger (Orange hair dye and black stripes). Doing a Panda looks rather difficult because you need to get the black eyes right, but I am worried about going to close to the eyes with the dye.

    Hi T-Rex,

I don't have answer but please find a really good groomer.

I must admit I feel conflicted about your wish. Then I groom my mini schnauzer and s/tzu more than necessary . I am sure you love your Chow Chow and would not do anything harming way.... Please make a good informed decision.

I have to ask why you would do this to your dog?

This kind of thing is popular in asian countries. The same ones that feel comfortable eating dogs.

I wouldn't do it. However I have seen multi coloured poodles.

Mollinator, just Google Panda Dogs and your question will be answered.

I would never eat a dog, they are too high in Vitamin A and it is really unhealthy to do so.

I'm not going to google anything, I'm asking you as an individual, why you would do this?
