Default Healing Thoughts and Wishes Needed.

    Hi everyone,

I felt a need to post this as you have all shown so much support and compassion for Mr Francis, our little neglect case.

Francis has been coming along in leaps and bounds since his rescue. He has certainly stolen my heart, and many others along the way....

Francis was not his perky self Friday night.

His little tail kept wagging, he loved his usual cuddles and routine though was not interested in his dinner. He was drinking well, up and about, weeing well, no vommiting or runny poos etc.

I slept in the spare bed with Francis beside me last night to monitor him. By 12 pm i was syringing fluids oraly which he accepted and did well with, so lots of wees despite Francis not wanting to take fluids independantly.

We were all set for the vet early am and just prior to leaving Francis vomited dark brown/black fluid, which may indicate internal bleeding.

Francis was seen imediately by the vet and after much consultation and concern he has had full blood workups and a drip to ensure hydration with anti biotics as a precaution. As Francis requires intensive care and further consults he was unable to come home with me with his drip.

Of most concern at this point is cancer and renal failure. We are relying on blood results at this point.

To say i am devastated is a gross under estimation as Francis has come such an enormous way despite the hideous neglect he has endured. I have been astounded at Francis's will to live despite disgraceful treatment for his entire life along with the fact that he actually trusts and shows great affection toward people despite this unforgiveable neglect and abuse.

Francis has become an enormous part of our lives and our hearts since his arrival.

Please keep Francis in your thoughts and send all the positive vibes and healing wishes you can.

I will certainly keep you up to date.

    Nic

Thank you so much Sheltiefan. Me too...until we get the bloods back we are unable to give pain relife as if it is renal failure pain reliefe may tip Francis over the edge.

Gosh i MISS Francis, I feel like my right arm is missing.

I will be there at opening time for huge cuddles. Updates are consistantly given. So far he has not deteriated at all and is holding his own.

Francis has the best care available, we will fight for his life and ensure his quality of life is paramount at all times.

You sound like me a few years back...but please...try to think positive ! Little francis has dealt with so much surely he can win this fight too - he's a little 'super-dog' !!!
And nic, you're an angel ! I'll be sure to say a little prayer for you all...

Dear little Francis lost his battle during the night.

I am unable to find the words to express my sadness, love and empathy for such a divine boy who i have truly cherished and adored.

I have been blessed to have known and loved him. I am so grateful that Francis has experienced love, happiness and nurturing, even if for only a short while.

A tummor in Francis's liver and renal failure is what is believed to have taken his life.

I can't thank you enough for your thoughts and best wishes for Francis, he was so very loved and thought of.

Francis will be laid to rest here with me beside my gorgeous Russ, and little Nikita. It is a beautiful part of the garden and where i sit to find peace and gather strength...a rose will be planted in his honour.

Vale Francis....run free sweetsoul over the rainbow bridge.
