Default Dug Doesn't Seem to Like Boys?

We Have Not had any Problem's with Dug Ever since his "bite" with Nash, But The other Day My partner's Little cousin came around, His 8 and not s small kid. He isn't a kid who likes dog's much, but didn't do anything to dug, wasn't near him but for some reason Dug seemed to not like him.

Dug Growled at him, and had his hackles up & was constantly watching the kid. We felt a little UN easy with it since we have had a problem once before.
So we Held Dug and got Kian to come up and give him a pat, got Kian to ask him to sit before he gave him a treat and he did. He was wagging his tail the whole time, so it had us confused, because His sister was there as well and Dug was fine with her. No problem.

And then Today we had another little boy here, a 5 yr old boy who has grown up around dog's and again Dug did the same. Again we don't know why. Dug is Fine with our kids, very gentle, listens, plays and is great, with other kids he has been fine, it's just been these two instants were its been a bit of an issue.

I am thinking he May not Like Boys? Younger boys, he has been a little off on a couple of men, but once he knew who they were he has been fine.

Has anyone had a similar problem?
What can I do to help Dug get over this issue?
As i said he's a great dog, No problems other than this.
I am now thinking that Maybe when he was a pup, a young boy has done something to him & That's what's causing this. But what ever the reason I want to be able to help dug get over it.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    I understand your concern.
It does seem as though Dug doesn't like boys for some reason.
Was their past trauma with a boy?

I would take him to a behavioural specialist personally, especially seeing as you have children around.

We had an incident with Dug when we first brought him when he was four months. He seemed to Mouth our oldest son, But got him with his teeth, I spoke to about 12 different Trainer's and they all seemed to think it was out of fear. We have been very careful with him since then, but he is completely fine with the kids now. Both of ours are boys, Dug is very protective of them and has been fine with other kids so far up until now.

So as I was saying we brought him at 4 months & he did grow up with Children, I do remember seeing a young boy in one of the photo's I was sent and He was bullied by his brother's and sisters, so I'm thinking that the kid must have done something to him and his kept it in his head ever since.

I am going to ring Trainer's first thing in the morning for advice & help. and see where that goes. Hopefully some Helpful Information to Help him & Myself out.

It does sound like something was done to him by a little boy.
I would find a behaviorist as puggerup suggested over a trainer.
    What breed is Dug?
