    Default Complaint About Wandering Dog.

I went to pick up my kids from Daycare today and there was a rather large dog wandering around.
I took a photo with my phone of it on the path that leads up to the further side of the car park.
I went in and talked to the daycare staff and they said they have complained numerous times to the dogs owners to keep it locked up at least during school hours but the people just don't listen. They have rang the council but still nothing has happened even though they have potos and videos of it lurking around and even peeing on all the staff cars.

The dog is huge and if it was to attack, even an adult would have trouble fighting it off, I dread to think of what it would do to a toddler. It also could easily get hit by a car. its a busy street with cars coming and going from the centre all day.

Is there another way we can get it sorted? We don't have a local rspca or welfare groups, only the council & it has taken them up to 4 days to pick up a stray I have found.. It really isn't acceptable to have a dog out loose around the kids like that.

Gee he is a big boy.
It is a worry though being around a day care center and main road. Lots of risk factors.
Can't believe the owner isn't doing anything about it.
Maybe get all the parents to ring the council with their concerns.

Was thinking the same Molly. A concerted effort by parents so the council will have to act to make the nuisance factor of all the calls demanding attention go away.

It looks likes a really tall Red Heeler.
    Poor thing.
I dont have any other ideas apart from the one Molly and Di and have suggested.
    I hope it gets sorted.

I think its a red heeler X I couldn't make out what other breed it could be, it is really tall though, maybe rottweiler size?
I called the council today but it rang out. I will get my sister to mention it to a few parents to see if they can get a few to complain (she works there)

That certainly is a fair-sized dog. Same suggestions as others above... or.... is the dog approachable? Once in the past, when I could get no help from the council, I popped a lead on the stray/wandering/nuisance dog and took him in to the council offices and left him there. Literally walked in the door, took the lead off and left. I have to say when I ring them now, I do get a response :-) Of course, this may not be at all practicable, but thought I'd share.... !
