    Question Dog Toys

Hi guys, as some of you are aware i have 2 beautiful sbts.... BUT... they destroy every toy i buy them. Ive tried the kongs, neither of tem are interested in them. Ive spent so much money of these 'indestructable' toys, and they end up like the rest...

Just wondering if anyone knows some fun dog toys that my staffs wont destroy in 30 seconds...

    Thanks
    Katie.

Try some home-made things. Put some rocks in a coke bottle, or peanut butter/treats. The kongs might have put them off because they can be difficult to get into, but if they can see the treats, it might entertain them.

A good old fashioned rope toy is great for destructo-dogs!

like a rolling thunder chasing the wind...

I believe the witches hats they use for road works are ok for dogs.
You can get them from Bunnings and they have different sizes.
Also small tyres, like from small airplanes or from wheel barrows.
Also the "Tuff Tyres" with knotted rope from pet shops are quiet durable.

We got some cotton rope from Bunnings (2 metres) which made two rope toys for less than what you can buy the cheapest rope toy for at the pet store. We paid $4.50 or so for the rope from Bunnings and the cheapest rope toy at Petbarn is $7.50 or so.

Dunno how durable it is as we only got it a few days ago and our dog is just a little moodle.... Cheap to replace tho

I was going to suggest Aussie Dog too, I have a Rottweiler who has several Aussie Dog toys and they are very good, she absolutely loves playing with them and none have been broken. I've also got a couple of Toughie toys (10 rating) which haven't been destroyed and seem like a very good option.

I used an old bike tube tied to a rope toy and hung from a tree. Gives the dogs a good tug of war with a bit of stretch. Dogs havent broken yet.

we bought a dental ball from woolies you can put treats in them, our staffy loves it to obsession and if you hide it she goes nuts till she finds it she will chew on it forever and its great for fetch and catching as well, still looks like new its a mystery why she likes it so much.
