Plans are set in place for my dogs and my family knows what they are. They are included in my estate and part of my estate is set aside for the re-homing of them.

As to the other. I think everyone is entitled to their opinion as long as it is stated without being overly offensive. If we all agreed with each other what would there be to post?? We cannot also automatically think that each post that we don't agree with is rude.

I come here for differences of opinions not to hear the same as my own. Everyone talks about education yet nobody wants to hear it.

When should we give our opinions two or three dogs down the track?? After they've bought their second or third dog from a puppy farm??

There are two ways to post - rudely that incites aggression or our own opinion politely stated.

I'll agree it's not much use saying too much after the horse has bolted but I do believe that each person is entitled to their opinion even though others don't agree or it may be hurtful to some.

And post after post that is deleted is normally accompanied by a note from DA saying closed at the OP request - what the hell do we want her to do?

I remember when a close friend of mine died suddenly his mother took his beautiful dog who was very well trained and obedient. His mother was quiet elderly but Tully was so well house trained that his mum felt able to have her. It meant Tully had to move to Tasmania to be with his mum and I miss her. Everytime I call his mum all she talks about is Tully. It is so beautiful. Tully is the best present he ever gave his mum and she keeps her young and the memory of her son alive.

    worst case scenario.....

you are found hrs after you die (susposedly immediately) skull caved in by the impact of which your car struck the tree in upside downin a twisted pile of metal which used to be your car and your left laying on a cold slab in a hospital waiting to be indentified by those who love you.

    Leaving 2 small children behind...

Rebec... Thank you for putting things into perspective.

Judge... I too apologise for hurting you in the past with my posts.

I think sometimes we all( myself well and truley included) get a bit carried away riding on our high horses that we forget that we all share the same passion...... our dogs.

i do not have an opinion on this.

    BUT

i do have an issue with people who prefer anesthetizing the dog in question calling it "giving him his wings" if your going to think about this issue rationally you need to state each case as it stands dont wishy washy around it and try to soften it up.

one opinion is he is humanely killed

and the other he MAY be humanely killed but without the owner being present but he MAY be rehomed

say it like it is please

I comprehend what you are saying Laura on one hand. I also do not honestly believe in '"wings'", "Rainbow Bridge" or the likes. When a dog dies, a dog dies. End of story for me. But that's just me. Others believe different things, and we are all entitled to our different beliefs.

But on the other hand, I think many ppl use those terms as they feel it is kinder and gentler. Like many ppl wouldn't say "I"m so sorry so-and-so died. They tend to state "I'm so sorry so-and-so passed away."

I think it comes down to 'each to their own' and how each person feels comfortable expressing their thoughts and beliefs.

yeah i guess it just annoys me when people say oh your a terrible person because you left your dog cold and alone in a shelter where he will not pass the temp exam and will be put down...but if you take him and get him yourself your giving him wings...

its the same end, its just putting a nice spin on one side and a horrible spin on the other...

as i said i hold no opinion either way
