I've had my beautiful girl Abby for approximately 3 months and she is the most beautiful thing on four legs I have ever seen. Sure, she has given me some frights but I wouldn't replace her for anything.

The first and only time she has reduced me to tears and anxiety was when I tied her up outside the supermarket with my aged afghan hound Honour. When I came out of the shop she was gone and only the end of the leash was left tied up. A couple of people had spotted her but she was nowhere in sight.

I grabbed Honour and my shopping trolley and moved as fast as my legs could carry me. You see, she's rather reserved and just wouldn't be caught by anybody else. This is on a main road at peak hour and all the way home I was dreading having to call the breeder to say she had ended up under a car. 2 weeks I'd had her and only been up to the shop a couple of times. I didn't think I had a hope but kept saying to myself; I hope she's gone home etc....

As I turned into the complex there she was standing at my back gate. I called to her and she started jumping up and down, running around in circles, came running up to me and then ran back and waited at the gate. I let my old girl go which I don't normally do and she too ran over and waited and ever since, every time we go for a walk I let them both go as we enter the complex and instantly they make haste for either the back gate or the front door.(not accessible by car).

Anyway, that's enough for now. Talk to you next time.
