    Default Renbury Pound Open 14/6/10?

Hey guys, we are looking at adopting a dog fro Renbury Pound in Sydney. However, it is a public holiday, and it says nothing on the website about whtehr or not it is closed on public holidays like Blacktown. Would anybody know? It's only urgent because the dog we are interested in is due to be PTS tomorrow and we may be unable to get there until Wed.

    Thanks in advance!

My local pound is run by the shire council,on their pound website is a phone number. When i call that number,i am redirected to another number in case of emergencies where by i can call a person directly. I guess this is in place in case of stray dogs or cats after hours, thou i guess by emergency they mean a dog which is a danger to residents or yourself. I dont think they would mind if you called the emergency number to express your interest in an animal in the final countdown of that animals life.

    Best of luck to you.

Hey guys! Yeah, it was open, luckily. It was no short trip, though -- 4 hour round trip! He is safely adopted, having his vetwork done today (including a full body clip for the mats, eek), and I am picking him up tomorrow. Pics as requested!

His temperament is just like our old dog's... Aloof but friendly, he seems to like our other dogs and I think he may be toilet-trained. Looks purebred under all the hair, too.

They were going to put that little man down???

Better get him home quick so he can start looking more like a SWF and less like a Rasta!

Yeah, meegsndogs, I don't get it either. Apparently he was very quiet and didn't interact with anybody until a few days ago. Most of the other small dogs had been sold or had rescue back up at least, too.
