Angry I Could Not Believe It!

Ok so I was heading into town and I came up behind a ute. A flat tray ute. A flat tray ute with three dogs on the back. Three dogs that were not tied down. One of which was a young cattledog who was hanging its head around the side at 100kph down the bumpy road!!! I was horrified! It almost fell off at one stage and I almost had a heart atach. So I sat their trying to give myself anough room to stop if one of them fell off and at the same time hoping to all hell that it wouldnt happen!
Then some idiot got the ****s that I was going too slow, god forbid I should do the damn speed limit, and over took me while a truck was comming the other way! He almost rearended the ute trying to get in behind it, then as soon as it was clar he took off again!
What is it with idiots!! Do they just have no respect for life both human and animal??

Hopefully if they make a habit of it, they will get caught before one or more of their dogs gets seriously hurt

I would say that's unbelievable but sadly it is believable

You know, I have only seen a dog wearing a harness on the back of a ute once

We are farmers, our dogs are always transported on the back of utes, short chains, no way of body parts going over the edge. I have been married to this farmer for 19 years and the dogs have never been free on the back.

Yeh I know. I have lived rural all my life. I have nothing against dog on utes. But everyone I know have been smart enough to chain them so they can not fall out, even just around the paddocks, this idoit was going down the road, 100 kph, and the bloody tray didnt even have sides! There was nothing to stop those dogs falling off! I am ashamed to think that they ight live near me!!

I lived in country Queensland for 14 years.
What you describe is pretty normal in some areas! they just don't seem to care!
When I think back, I can still see all the three fingered banjo players!

It just seems so silly when you do hear so many stories of dogs hanging from or injured from falling off that the "it won't happen to me" mentality can still exist. You don't need to be a member of a dog forum to realise this. It just seems common sense.

Yeh and I was always so proud of the down to earth common sense feeling I always got from rural living.. maybe I was wrong.

... Ok so if I am missing letters it is because my laptop likes to ignore the fact that I have pushed some buttons! a lot of the time I dont even notice until I have posted the comment already... sorry lol
