Default I'm Exhausted...another Benny Hill Moment

I've got Gemma in the car ready for the school run, Mickey and the two puppies are in the back yard and the two girls (in season) are in the kitchen.

I hear the phone ring just as I'm about to hop in the car so I race back inside to answer it thinking it might be hubby (ringing about a delivery time of some fencing materials) on my way catch my handbag on the wheel burrow handle which is full of wood and pull that over, get inside answer phone, not hubby, then hear frantic barking (which with Whippets means they've got something very interesting), so hang up on person and look out door to see they've got a Diamond Python bailed up at the bottom of a tree right next to the back porch, try to squeeze out past the girls but that doesn't work, no worries though, Mickey has more interesting things on his mind.

Grab all dogs two at a time, one under each arm, think I've pulled something in my shoulder, shove them back inside in various places and then go back out and look for the snake which has slithered up the tree right near the porch, too late I can't reach it to relocate it elsewhere.

Jump back into car, shoulder now throbbing, want to kill dogs and snake equally as much.

Pick up sson and apologise for being a bit late and explain, he's disappointed I didn't get photo's - yeah right.

I'm now having a cuppa before going out and re-stacking the wood and hoping more than anything that the pain in my shoulder blade goes away.

They are all asleep now and looking like butter wouldn't melt in their mouth.

And for the first time ever, Gemma wasn't in the thick of things.

If I wasn't so worried about their efficiency at killing the snake then I would of. And of course the minute the dogs were removed it went up the tree.

They got a wild rabbit on Friday night, for once hubby was home and just for you DA they bought it inside the house. Tilly is such a good girl always comes when called rabbit or no rabbit.

You certainly are braver than I am-- I would have been back in the car and gone

Wow, what an afternoon! Isn't it great when everything happens all at once when you need to leave
Be careful with your shoulder, the more you use it while it is sore, the more likely you will make it worse. Hope it gets better soon.

Oh MAC, I had to laugh, I had the BH music running through my head as I read this!

Hope your shoulder is on the mend, THAT is not funny. <hugs>
