Default The Things I'm Grateful For....

When I talk about Gemma I'm normally griping about what she's done or hasn't done, or won't do.

But after just getting back from the hydrobath up the road (car wash has a dog wash) and witnessing a young couple fighting with their labrador in the bath, then seeing them put their handful into the car of which said labrador had obviously redecorated in slobber and car seat foam.

I'm grateful that Gemma travels in the car like an angel,
    Is an angel to bath
Is an angel to blow dry
Is an angel to groom for hours on end no matter how many knots or burs you yank out of her coat
    Is people and dog friendly
Will wait patiently tied up or in a crate
Comes when called (even if she is three houses down the street grrrr)
And is just damn good company.

So my girl, next time I want to murder you, I shall try and remember this.

Among many other things, I'm grateful that Keeda is the most good natured and kind hearted being I've ever met.

    Great thread MAC.

I am grateful that, as my first large breed dog, Troopa is patient with me while I learn how best to approach things and overcome all the challenges that come our way.

Awww Keeda and Troopa sound like wonderful dogs.

Everyday I'm glad to be owned by my gang, sometimes I just need to remind myself of that.

Despite some of my gangs' predisposition to destructadog tendencies, I too am grateful that they allow me to share their lives....although I have 2 more sofas that will need to be replaced soon!

(Anyone in Sydney got any sofas they want to get rid of, let me know!)

I'm grateful that my fence-jumping dog is not my running-away dog, and vice versa!

    Im grateful that Bella:
    isn't completely boofheaded,
    is smart,
    loves being brushed,
    is awfully photogenic ,
doesn't lose her head around other dogs,
    isnt destructive,
is happy to sleep all day or run until she just about drops,
    is really good company!!

I'm grateful my dog's number one method for greeting dogs and people is to roll over, paws in the air. It's the most non-threatening greeting ever, and even dog phobic people and fearful dogs cope.

I'm grateful - she's happy to amuse herself when I'm busy. And not always in my face for a job to do. I'm not always happy with the method she chooses to amuse herself but I am grateful it doesn't include digging up the lawn (mostly) or pulling washing off the line.
