apparently there is a privately funded no kill shelter near my parents place in the Riverland, So my parents have offered to drop it off at Moorook on their way to Barmera!

The shampoo will be offered to Moorook, If they dont want it, it will go in the bin, it seems like such a waste! considering at least 2 bottles are still sealed!

The RSPCA said that they could not accept it because they only use one brand and they have a contract with that brand, so accepting any thing else would breach the contract!
Yeah, I know of one RSPCA shelter who only accept a certain food for the same reason.

Heck, if Moorook don't take the shampoos, can you pu them on here Pepsi? Lots of ppl would jump at that!

The Launnie RSPCA sells Science Diet out of their office from memory... wouldn't be surprised if that's all they could accept.

Pity... I have 3kg bags of Nutro and Advance here that the pup won't eat, want some dry food DA?

Same in Hobart...Hills sure do have the market sewn up on "reputable" organisations pushing crap food God forbid they should be allowed to accept donations of food with actual food value!

Pepsi have you tried rinsing your dogs with neem tea? you do need to find someone with a neem tree growing and make tea from the leaves and wash the dog in that and use no shampoo at all for a few months, it cures some skin problems immediately others do not respond

Same in Devonport, not sure about the Burnie shelter but my guess is the same. It is Hills science Diet. I can understand the reasoning behind it all though, very much so actually.

Ooh thanks Crested, but we do raw diet here. Thank you very much anyway for your kind offer.

No problem, I will find a good home for it

I have been looking into feeding raw myself lately, got so many BARF diet websites bookmarked but haven't got around to reading them yet

Yes, both bags are opened unfortunately... the Advance has one of those zip-lock seals at the top though (not that it makes much difference)

I will give the Salvos a call on Monday and see what they say.
