    Default Dog Shows

I want to go to a Championship show within in the next month or so and found quite a few, however, there is one thing I can't work out. Probably stupid question but what does the following mean?
    Schedule of classes
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 & 11 dogs
    1a, 2a, 3a, 4a, 5a, 10a & 11a bitches
I have no idea so anyone please enlighten me!!

These are the different classes you can enter, generally going by age, but no always. 1 - 11

    1 baby puppy, 3 - 6mths
    2 minor puppy, 6 - under 9
    3 puppy, 6 - under 12mths
    4 junior, 9 & under 18
    5 intermediate, 18 - under 36mths
6 novice, 6mths & over which have not won a first prize etc, (not too many shows have this)
7 graduate, 6mths or over which have not won a challenge (not too many of these classes either
8 limit, 12mths & over & not champions (again only limited shows have this class)
9 state bred, 6 months and over bred in the state.
10 australian bred, 6mths and over whelped in australia
    11 open, over 6mths

    the a is for bitch

So you enter a puppy in baby puppy, if it was a bitch you would put on your entry 1a, if it was a dog it would be just 1.

    Thanks MAC!

Found it thanks to google too Like I said it was a stupid question... I didn't think of age at all... But then it is the first time I look into showing in Australia. Quite a few differences to Europe...

Classes 15-18 accommodate neuter - puppy, junior, intermediate and open.

And as Cleas' said not available at all shows. Specialty shows (breed specific shows) are more likely to have a few choices of neuter classes than all breeds.

The smaller shows don't have anywhere near as many classes. Here in Tas we usually have:
    Baby Puppy
    Puppy
    Junior
    Intermediate
    State bred
    Aus Bred
    Open

Occasionally a club will offer Minor puppy and neuter classes are very, very rare.

The bigger mainland shows would have more classes than our little 3-400 entry shows

You must inform me when you're at shows around my area Crested. I'd like to pop on in and meet you and your shampoo-conserving Cyrus.

    Hehe I will do DA!

We won't be going to a show for 5 weeks now Didn't fancy traveling to Hobart with a pup so waiting for the next Launnie one.

Will definitely let you know when the next coastal show is on!
