Thread: Progress after Lex's Surgery

    vet check went great, still a little bit to go in terms of the next toe that was damaged, but has healed since post-op...

    Let the healing begin!!!


    side note:
    Do i have permission to post some pictures of his post op...
    There not gory, i think they might make people awkward?

    ok here it goes..

    1st is after surgery, showing a picture of where the toe was amputated and the next toe along that has to heal naturaly, you can see why its a long process, its a pretty large open wound...



    2nd is of last nights vet vist you can see the amputated toe has healed nicely and hair is growing back where it was covered with the excess skin,
    but the open wound is still very much open.. but is healing comparing to the post op picture

    They've done a nice job on his toe. Amazing how quickly they heal up! The open wound will take a few weeks to scab over but it looks pretty good!

    Yeah thanks his vet is real nice too, she was right onto it when lex decided it was a good time to do a number two right in the middle of the consultation room..

    She sent me them photos last night off her phone..

    Amputated toe looks to be healing really well. Other one obviously has a bit to go.

    Can always count on the kids to embarrass us at the vets. Took 4 of mine to the vet yesterday for shots and one of puppies pulled the bin over...oops.
