Be careful Laura with your decision to do nothing further about all this.

It is often ppl like this twit of a lady who are the first ones to go running to the authorities with their extremely 'doctored' version of events.

For your own safety in the future (and Gypsy's) I would at the very least notify your local council of these events. I have found that just simply notifying them of what has been happening on these occasions; having your contact with them recorded and on file - could certainly help you out in the future if you come across this twit again.

Just think about it Laura, please, to cover your own back, so to speak.

    Aw that's cool, Laura.

I hope you never bump into her or see her again. Silly woman, she's gonna get those dogs killed sooner or later.

I actually find an email to council, with a read receipt request on it more reliable than a plain letter.

And then when the **** hits the fan so to speak you have an easy to find record of what you sent.

You can attach the letter you sent them too. And if you know the email address of their record keeping section, cc that. And if you don't get a reply in a week at least acknowledging they understand the problem even if they're not going to take any action right now, if you don't get that, forward it to your local council rep.

Then none of them can say they didn't know and you can point out any inconsistencies if you need to.

We've sprung several of our council staff in outright lies or pure bulldusting ignorance multiple times this way. It's good leverage.

    I agree with Hy 100%.

A letter these days is also easily "lost." Very convenient for them when it suits.

E-mail, or preferably in person where you are able to personally see the entire report go into the system.

    Ditto..
An Email with a read receipt request is the best way.. Get the receipt and you got your proof that correspondance has been sent..
I work for a Government department, and I know if you are the first to report an incident, then all future reports will be referenced with your email..

A Registered letter otherwise, they have to sign for it so if you keep a copy too, so much the better.
