    Default The Gall of Her.....

I've got back from running SS to school, vac'd the main areas of the house, made myself a cuppa, sat down at the breakfast bar, opened the forum, looked out into the back yard, smiled as I see the whippets spread out in the sun, then it suddenly occurs to me that there is no Gemma.

Not unusual she's not a big sun baker but I can't see her on the verandah either.

So I go out and I'm calling and calling, maybe she's down the back sniffing out rabbits then just before my heart is about to burst from panic I get a call from next door,
    "MAC she's here",
I apologise profusely about her getting out etc, but no, I'm told that she didn't get out, she just looked so sad sitting on the other side of the fence that my neighbour decided that she would take her out of my yard, allow her to go swimming in her pool, which Gemma loves, WTF

I bit my tongue, don't know how, I just think if I started I don't think I could of stopped, all the time remembering when you have six dogs you don't piss the neighbours off.

But come on, who does that?

I know I've got to speak to her. I now get the feeling this is not the first time. I've got to go wash Gemma and dry her, which is not a 5 minute job and one I only did last week. I'm so furious I'm lost for words.

OMG!!! I'd be livid! I'd definitely have a word with her about it when you calm down.

The neighbour should not be letting Gemma out of your yard into hers and then let her swim in the pool. It just isn't on!

wow!! i know tell her she has a skin condition and cant get the pool chems on her....that way your not having a go at her ... people can get really narky when they think they were being nice and they get told off for it and your right with 6 dogs you want to be friendly with the neighbours!

She's a nice lady, I know she misses her BC which she lost to a snake before we moved in, but seriously, it's just not the taking Gemma, it's the fact that any of the other dogs could of gotten out past her at the same time. Her place is never mowed so its no wonder she lost her dog to a snake.

She didn't even consider the work she has now given me as Gem had not been brushed this morning. I'm now about to go blow dry Gem off so I can brush her out so that I can then wash her and brush her again.

I've been sitting here thinking and I believe my husband would be best to talk to her, he has a way of saying thing, whereas she's likely to tick me off and I'll explode.

Laura, I think you're onto something there. I might explain to her that I can't leave the pool chemicals in her coat and the knots she will now have because she wasn't brushed first.

And I will point out about the other dogs possibly slipping out past her.

Oh man MAC, I'm with you, I'd let husband deal with it could I'd strangle her, then whack her around some more, then go mental - then finally kill her!

Um, TBH, I'd make the dumb %$#@& assist with the entire grooming session now. I
'd call her up on the phone, ask her to come over and help cause you just can't manage it on your own. Give her a dryer, plus all the grooming tools, go make a coffee, lie down on the lounge and wait for her to curse for the next couple of hours! She WON'T do it again after that!!!
