Thanks Pugger, now I think I am seeing things from a different light...think??

The forum for me is generally all about dogs. I don't tend to be too personal with people. That is me probably showing my age and finding it strange to be on a personal level via the internet with people, though I realise that today things are different. So when things go on between two members I have a tendency to leave them to their disagreement and while I understand I don't take sides, mostly because I have such scratchy details of what went on I wouldn't be game to take sides or have an opinion on either persons point of view.

But again Pugger your post is all supposition. I really don't know. Nobody has to know I guess, but I think some of us will eventually get to the stage where they just say "whatever, I think I'll leave them to it and find somewhere else, if possible, to talk dogs".

I think that people's situations and lives go up and down dramatically as we all know. That doesn't mean that what is happening one month is what is happening the next.

Rumour mongering is something I cannot stand as it so often seem to go on in the background and people don't get a chance to speak up for themselves. Talk is cheap and if people want information they should be asking the people involved and not listening to nasty rumours and emails in particular.

Past is past and should stay there. There is a hell of a lot of people in this world who would like to be taken on face value and not judged by other people's misinformed opinons about past events.
While I agree with you that rumours suck, sometimes these "rumours" are said to help protect a potentially bad situation from happening.
I am sorry to say, the past will come and bite you on the butt occasionally, and although forgiveness is wonderful, it doesn't mean that people should be open targets.
I really don't think "rumours" are always said just to sh!t stir and to be nasty. If my good friend was going to use a company that had let me down badly for example, I would warn them and let them decide..

But would you be certain of detailed information that may have done the rounds so to speak? Chinese Whispers is a dangerous game.

Chinese Whispers is a dangerous game!

I don't understand why people take notice of some of the stuff that is said about various members.
I always take people as they come and make up my own mind as to how they react or treat me!
Some of the things said could be also caused by personality differences!

Chinese whispers can be dangerous, but if someone was dodgy and I was potentially about to be ripped off (this is pure example) I would appreciate a word of warning first.

I was looking for a Cavalier at DOL for my inlaws and I got 3 messages from members warning off a few people.. they could have personal vendettas for all I know, but it's now up to me to be cautious and make sure I am thorough in my search. It doesn't mean I won't buy from those breeders, it just means that I will make sure they are legit and do my homework.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with anything.
Dorte you don't need to go anywhere. If you don't trust a member or like a member just stay out of their way..simple.

Such a shame that we humans have to make things so complex for one another. We really need to learn to live and let live, especially when it comes to the internet, afterall, it is just a computer unless we choose to make it something otherwise. John Lennon got it right in the song Imagine.........

Take care Clea, and hurry back when you feel you can.

Aww Clea, I haven't even been on this site very long and I can see you are a great person who gives great advice to your peers on here.

If you do leave please only make it a break from the site and not a permanent disappearance. You would be sorely missed.
