Thread: I LOVE Our Crate!!!

  1. #1

    Default I LOVE Our Crate!!!

Last night Poppy slept in her crate in our room for the first time. She didn't even make a peep! I was waiting for some whining/crying but NOTHING! Just cute puppy snoring!

I set my alarm for 6am and took her out so there were no accidents! Now I just want to start trying to extend that so eventually she will be able to hold longer and sleep in with us!

    Yay for crates!!!

    That's fantastic Amy!

I have to agree with you regarding the crates. We got ours a few days after you got yours and Troopa adjusted to it so quickly. Best thing I've ever purchased for him.

Woohoo for Troopa! Its amazing how quickly they just take to them! Its REALLY helped with Poppy's toileting overnight! She never wee's in the house during the day, as long as the door is open for her...but we were having issues with her weeing and pooing at night! Not anymore!

    Thanks everyone!

She is doing great! We have started doing TOT too to try and ensure she see's ME as the boss.

Yesterday Angela (AGB) and Batty were over and Poppy barked at Batty when he came up to me. She was on the couch next to me and as he approached she stepped onto my lap and barked. Ange said it was a protective thing and that Poppy saw me as NEEDING protection and so thought Poppy saw herself as the "boss".

TOT will also help me put the food bowl down without Poppy trying to jump into it!

Good on you Amy, and good on Angela for assisting you in working with TOT (or whatever they call it these days)

It is an important thing for all dog owners to use, for more reasons than the obvious.

Great about the crate. Mind you, it looked so comfy we all wanted to crawl into it, so that's understandable.
