    Smile One Week On!

    Hi all,

As many of you know my OH and I adopted a week ago today!

The adorable Minty aka minnie, seems to have moved in and made herself comfy.

she now firmly believes that every toy in our house is hers and fortunately our older dog pepsi is fine with that.

I have spent most of the week at home in bed with a cold and bronchitis so i have been home with both of them and i have to say she has left little paw prints on my heart. Pepsi has decided that she is her own pup, they sleep together and Pepsi washes her face in the morning, she also spends hours playing with her. I was worried when we were first meeting her, she seems so shy but i think that was just being at the RSPCA.

she is now fine with my OH, she is happy to snuggle on his lap while he is trying to work, she just takes up residence if he wants her or not.

There visit to the vet was interesting, they both have a mild case of kennel cough, the vet reccomends just letting it run it's course. He did say Minnie could put on a couple of kg's and Pepsi could stand to lose a couple but thats fine, we already knew that!

We have also figured out that minnie seems to have good basic training, she knows sit etc and automatically sits at curbs, i haven't tested her recall she has good recall at home, i cant wait until we are all well enough for a trip to the dog park to find out how clever she really is!

thank you all for your support and your encouragement.

    Cass

Oh I've missed so much while I've been away.

Congratulations on the new addition. Is there a thread with piccies in anywhere?

Glad things are going well. It's a delight to see 2 dogs get on well with each other, not to mention a huge relief
