i remember reading a story, cant remember where, that there was a cat in anursing home, and it would sit on the bed or at the door or something similar of a patient who was going to die.

yeh but that i just a soiazion thing. She knows how to handle the pup, its her job afterall, but she doesnt know how to deal with new humans. A lot of working dogs are like that because there is usually a clear distinction beween human and animal, moreso than in a pet household.

I have read about that too. Animals can be so intuitive.

Dogs are amazing creatures when it comes to human sickness. Ammy was like that, very sensitive to things. When Mum got sick Ammy would always check up on her, and as Mum's illness progressed she would divide her time between me and Mum - during the night she'd spend an hour with me, then an hour with mum etc. If I had to dash out to get groceries she would stay by Mum's side. As Mum got sicker Ammy spent more and more time with her. Ammy came with me to say goodbye to Mum.

A few years later, a friend's husband passed away, Ammy went to stay with her to help her cope with the loss. My friend said she didn't know what she would have done without her.

    I miss my little girl.....

I am so sorry to hear about your tumor, but am hoping that you get great news with any future scans! The posts I have been reading so far have made you seem like an amazing and strong woman with everything you have gone through. Pretty sounds amazing as well, so loving and caring - seems to be a perfect match!
It is funny how intuitive animals are, I had a book full of stories about intuitive pets only I lent it to someone and of course I never got it back!
And boy dogs and cocking their legs! At least it was on the cans which you can wash rather than a glass of coke
