Well the good news is we had a peaceful evening, Minty seems to have made herself right at home. She now shows no fear of my OH so maybe it was the way he was dressed (business suit) she was wary of, she seems to have no issues when he is dressed casually.

She is a whinger tho, we put up the baby gate last night so the dogs were forced to stay in the bottom of the house, and she had a good cry about it but it settled down after a few minutes. her skin is not as bad as i first thought i have made an appointment with my vet next week.

She seems house trained, no accidents so far, which is good because the RSPCA did not know. and she seems to have good basic training, i haven't really tested her, i thought i would give her some time to settle in then find out where she is at.

We also found out that her old name was Kim-chi, i dont know what it means, but i guess thats why she took to Minty so quickly. I will try for some photos this weekend but i wont make any promises! I only have the camera in my phone at the moment and the quality is not that good.

thank you all for your support

Kimchi (pronounced /ˈkɪmtʃi/, Korean pronunciation: [kimtɕʰi]), also spelled gimchi, kimchee, or kim chee, is any one of numerous traditional Korean pickled dishes made of vegetables with varied seasonings.
Great news. Sounds like Minty is really going to settle down!

Great to hear she's settling in so quickly! Give her a few days to get used to things before you try to work out obedience etc, she needs time to get used to all of you, the new environment etc.

Tbh, I think her reaction to hubby when you first met her was more to do with the environment, and not coping in a shelter situation. I've seen that many times, once they are out of that environment you see them blossom into the lovely little souls that you could see hidden deep down.

Keep us updated....and where are the photos!!!!!!
