No I don't find the rice hulls stick to the dogs coat - but I DO HAVE SHORT COATED DOGS. (And I just realised I had the caps on Sorry!)

They don't blow around at all here and some other people that I know have it are in really windy areas and they don't have an issue either.

We have dirt (live on a sandhill) grass and weeds. We rake the poo and shovel it to a wheelbarrow. works well. Hubby can get the mower in there if needed.

That sounds not too bad actually. My mower is in being repaired and seems to have been there forever!! I am really sick of fishing poo out of long grass and weeds... Oh to have nice short grass...

Remember this is a farm effort lol. Have another open faced old kennel in there now to shelter food from any rain.

It is used when we go off farm, at the moment for pups at night but I hope to integrate them into the house at nights after rads.

The dogs were not using it then, it had just been made, put them in as a mock up. They have bones chew toys etc in there. They love it and even go in during the day if they want to as door is open. It is about 15ft by 21

What a lovely shady tree for them to be under Di. The grass looks like it's holding up well - it's almost greener in the yard than outside it!

Well my rice hulls arrived and they have been in use now for over a week. I LOVE THEM!!!!!! They don't absorb water (urine) and they really don't blow away!!

We laid lime underneath them that will kill the bugs as well. REALLY happy with this outcome

We purchased 125 kg for $65 odd and had enough left over to do Oopa's Rose garden as well!!

This is WHY I enjoy this forum so much. I have Sooooooo much to learn in such a short period of time and your answers and advise help keep that time frame in check.

    THANK YOU CATE0404!!!!

I am so happy you are so happy!

The cheapness is also another reason why rice hulls are good - as it doesn't cost much when you want to top up or refresh.

I hope your dogs enjoy the rice hulls!!
