LOL no, I foster dogs (well, used to and will again once Batty is an adult) and needed a way to help the ACD gain his confidence and to tire out his mind at the same time. He needs a truck load of exercise which is the only reason he's down on my dads farm, plus some personal reasons for him. I had to get inventive and some of them I found through other websites, some were behaviors that he offered and I captured and others were shaped. The basics were lured.

I'm studying Animal Behavior at the moment, but that's to further my understanding nothing more.

    gyps knows...
sit, stay, come, she can pick up different toys on command i.e get kong (she'l get her kong) or get elephant she can also distinguish between get tennis ball and get golf ball. she knows up places paws on your chest, she know leg weave she knows under and over (under or over a chair or those pine barrier thingies at the park) she knows open the door (literally will open the door using the handle) she knows lie down on your bed roll over she knows wait and if you say "wait you can have the ball when i say 3" and then count like 1,2,34,67,25,4,3 she will wait until you say three lol she know everyones names so if i say get dano she'l get my OH or if i say get liza she'l go and get my sister, oh and of course shake hands

    shes pretty clever =)

Yeah, I have been really surprised with Bella's level of intelligence. I mean, she acts like a TOTAL blonde (no offences blondies ), but whn it comes to clicking she alll of a sudden she grows a brain. Just before, I went to give her fresh water (she only likes just-out-of-the-tap fresh) and I put her into a sit stay about 2 metres away, in view, and when i picked up the water she would move, so I put the water back, put the dog back, and started again. I only had to put it back once, before she realised that moving took longest.

Mine can cook tea, do the washing, lick clean the floor and make me a coffee!

    Nah, just kidding.

Brody knows - Sit, stay, jump, wait and for 'wait' he can balance a bone on his nose then catch it on command.

Prada knows Sit, stay, jump, (she just can't seem to get the hang of wait, she tries to eat the bone before you put it anywhere near her nose) She also knows rollover, even though she doesn't make it the whole way over and ends up sprawled on her back

    Cyrus knows............. his name.

Hamish knows sit, stay, down, wait, shake hands, high five, roll over. I could sort of get him to spin, bow and play dead (except then every time I would want him to lie down he would want to play dead or roll over) but not without being right next to him with food.

Yuna can sit, stay, down (but not on wet grass, the princess!) and wait.

I am trying to get them both to finish. Hamish is getting the hang of it but Yuna just has no idea.

    sit
shake - does both hands depending which I put out
    drop
stay (when in sit and drop)- (from a distance, with distractions, with food infront of his nose, etc)
leave it (with food and other scraps and stuff that he puts in his mouth)
up and down (get onto or off something)
bed and sleep (bed is for his indoor bed, sleep is for his kennel)
    come
move - get out the way
quickly (makes him do what I've just asked when he just stands there and looks, it works for some reason!?)
    Inside and outside

Well, for that one I know the answer! "Quick" is the word for "get your furry butt in here NOW or the door shuts and you stay out there for another half an hour on your own mister!"

But when he's inside and I'm telling him to do something, if I add quick he does it in a flash, so instead of sit it's sit quick and his but is on the ground before I've finished speaking. It's bizzare!
