Oh grossss!!! I think I remember seeing something on Oprah about a woman who ate sponges, like dish cleaning sponges.

I guess when you think about it, fast food is all chemicals and crap anyway, toilet paper musn't be that bad!

Ziggy often chews and steals things too. As has been said, no point in punishing after the fact. All you can do (and what we do) is put things away where she can't get them. So shoes go into a drawer, socks are either in the draw or the washing basket which she can't open, other items either up high or in cupboards which she can't open.

Ziggy has chewed tissues, socks, underpants (esp. mine, hubby's don't seem to interest her), soooo many pairs of shoes, cables (lucky we have a safety switch), the old couches we have downstairs, hoses, sticks, laundry powder boxes, potting mix bags, beanbags, she goes through rubber toys in minutes and lots of other things I've forgotten. She gets walks, and we play fetch but she still loves to chew. Like doggy heroin as Angela says .

You have to be vigilant, keep things out of the way. We recently built a 4ft fence around our vege patch because she kept ripping things out. Some weeks she doesn't destroy anything, other times she will 4 or 5 things in a row.
