    link seems to be broken.

Frosty doesn't like adelaide tap water, I'm not sure she'd be real keen on antifreeze.

aparently you can not od on antifreze if you have a heap of strong grog in your system, they bind to eachother and you can pass it!!

btw dont try this at home

Are "Orange" types the sort of people who will test the grog - antifreeze theory?

I know there is a nice wine making branch of Charles Sturt uni there.

Weird thought - alcohol itself makes fairly good antifreeze. used to spray a mix of metho, detergent and water on the windscreen in winter in Canberra so I could drive home from Hockey practice, until I discovered the dual use of Sunshades (ie peeling the ice off the windscreen that way).

The gist of the story is that the stuff tastes nice to pets, there is a move to try and get manufacturers to make it taste horrible so pets will not eat it, all a small dog or child needs is a teaspoon full to kill it that much could leak from your car easily. duh.
The link is working for me but now you get the idea of what it was about I hope, might save a dog or two

It's sweet to taste, a couple years back there was a batch of childrens cough medicine that killed a few hundred in some northern country, anti freeze was accidently added instead of glucose syrup.

Ummm... pardon my ignorance but if a teaspoon can kill a dog then when they lick it to find out what it tastes like they are going to be getting a teaspoon full whether they think it tastes horrible or not?

I know they might change the smell of it to deter them but dogs still do silly things... One of mine likes licking moisturizer off my hands (he even makes chompy sounds with his teeth he loves it that much)

Simple solution would be to keep your antifreeze out of reach of children and pets and don't let your dog near your car.
