Default Who Am I? Where Do I Come From?

This little munchkin is Roxie. She was rescued by us last year and no one knows 'what' she is (apart from adorable :P)

Some say mini german shepherd.... to which my face goes O_o sigh.

I'm thinking whippet x terrier. She has a whippet body (though we've fattened her up a bit) and her heart skips beats when resting and is normal when exerted, which I've heard whippets do. Her nose is quite square with a pointy end that she loves to poke everyone with. She is somewhat timid, getting a lot more confidence, she's *very* inquisitive and she has a really nasally whine. Sort of like a kettle boiling with a whistle on it. She rarely barks, she will if someone comes to the door but then it's only very short. She NEVER barks when we come home, it's like she remembers the car sounds.

She has a memory like an elephant. I have never had a dog that I could train this quickly, it baffles me the way she picks things up.

So here is a photo, your guess is as good as mine! (Not sure how to make them just be in the box, sorry).

Roxie has promised sloppy kisses for anyone who weighs in! :P

The smart part comes from the German Shepherd side by the way.

Nope! Maybe it was even multiple fathers to the same litter!

Perhaps short coat BC, a working line maybe? Nope, backtrack that!

She has a very foxish looking face, it's quite stunning IMO.

Yes, she does look very much like a german shepherd mix, BUT because of her size, I'm going to say that she looks like a kelpie x australian terrier. The aussie terriers have similar colouring, with the black "saddle" and brown legs etc. So that MAY be one answer!

    Either way, she's super cute!

Roxie is trying to kiss you all through the screen,if you see something pink and sticky trying to get through the cd drive, don't be afraid! :P

So I'm alone with the whippet theory hey?

The only thing that puts me off a german shep x is her size. She is a smallish dog, only 9kg. I can definitely see a resemblance with an Aussie Terrier, you might be onto something there Greys!
