    Default Lady's First Competition.

Well I've finally got my butt into gear and im taking Lady to her first competition - a high jump competition
I have wanted to take her to one since I got her, 6 years later, and we're finally going.
I really hope she behaves herself. The jump is set up on the back of a ute, so one person(me) will stand on the ute and be the caller while the other person(which will be my mum) holds them down the bottom with a bit of a run up. The audience make a horseshoe around the run up. Im so worried that once mum lets her off she'll lose all concentration on me and run up to all the kids in the audience. Lets hope treats are enough to entice her.
Its tomorrow so I washed her, blow dryed and brushed her. I thought I better get some photos considering im sure she'll be dirty again as soon as I let her go.
Um Mods you can move this too the photo thread if you think it suits better there.
Anyway, here you go. How's the first photo Thats an all natural pose! I reckon she was showing off.

OMG, that first shot is priceless. She is on the catwalk. Best photo I've seen in a long while. Actually, that's nomination material.

good luck on the day, she'll be great!

    myf,

a little tip, though you probably already know this

I did a high jump comp with my friends dog (she was the local cop and got called to a job before he dog could compete), start calling your dog before she is released that way she is focused on you, make sure the food is smelly.

Good Luck, I'm sure you'll do really well

Yeah thanks, I already planned on that.
I'll make it seem really exciting before she's let go.

You gotta love the doggy high jump. My aunt's whippet won a high jump comp against kelpies, GSDs, BCs - all manner of farm dog. And it did it with a standing jump from the bottom of the jump panel - no run up at all. BOING.

Let us know how it goes.

And gorgeous photos. Like freshly bathed shiney and whiter than white white.
